Tails of Glimmervale is a game I developed as part of the student company "Corebreak Interactive." It marks my first commercially released game, created within a focused timeline of just nine months.
Below, you'll find detailed information about the game, relevant links, and a breakdown of my contributions to its development.

Willow might even grow from their experiences...
A Cozy Souls-Like
Tails of Glimmervale is a what we call a "cozy souls-like"! The well-known difficult but rewarding combat of the souls-like genre is paired with a beautiful pixel art world full of charming and unique animal characters!
My Role
In this project, I took on two primary roles. First, I served as the General Manager of Corebreak Interactive. More significantly, I was the Creative Lead, responsible for shaping and maintaining the game’s overall vision, particularly its world and story.
My top priority was world-building. To achieve our goal of avoiding tilesets, I developed unique tools and workflows tailored to our needs. Using these systems, I built every area in the game. In addition to crafting the game’s world, I was chiefly responsible for its narrative, writing all dialogue, item descriptions, and lore, as well as creating a fictional language for the characters.
On the technical side, I designed the shaders that play a key role in the game’s distinctive visual style and implemented some minor code features. Beyond this, I planned the required assets, managed the overall visual style, and ensured that all creative elements aligned seamlessly with the project’s vision.
This was a highly rewarding and challenging project where I gained valuable experience in game design and collaboration within a diverse team. It has significantly prepared me for entering the game industry and tackling future projects with confidence.
